Not a single brick out of place

Here at “It’s All About The Customer”, there wasn’t a blueprint on how this blog was supposed to look. Going back through the archives, you can see the changes since it started in December 2009.

But there was always a plan. Maybe the plan wasn’t obvious 100% of the time. But on some level there was an idea. That idea was strengthened by a vision. And further inspired by great examples of leadership from one of the world’s greatest visionaries.

Walt Disney never saw this structure with his own eyes. But he has been in every room, looked through every window and has selected every tile in each mural that lines the walls inside Cinderella Castle. His vision has been studied, practiced and passed on to countless numbers of Cast Members, Guests and fans around the world for over half a century.

And after all these years, there’s not a single brick out of place.

Do you have a vision? Do you have a plan? We’ll never know about it if you don’t act on it or tell someone about it.

Day 26 – Don’t let a single brick be out of place.

[five-star-rating]

Bonus question: How many bricks were used to build Cinderella Castle? This includes all sections, turrets, walls, inside and out. Disney Cast Members are excluded from answering. 😉

Jeff, sorry. You had insider information.

Donna, you’re answer is too vague. Could you be more specific?

  3. Jack Bornstein says:

Zero. Its made of concrete and fiberglass over a steel skeleton.

During my last DI course (Quality Service) I was put on the spot by a Cast Member. As we’re walking by he asked how many bricks. I stammered and stuttered and could not come up with the answer. Doubt I will forget that answer now.
