Everything you do is for your customer

From the time you turn off the lights at night until the time you turn them back on the next day, everything you do is for your customer.

But Dave, how can that be? We have our down time when we’re not on the job. Sure. But that doesn’t mean we’re not working.

As my good friend jeff noel puts it, “and the workday begins the night before.”

At first I didn’t get the meaning. Then in a blinding flash of the obvious (thanks jeff) it hit me! It’s more than preparation. It’s organization.

You can prepare some of the greatest speeches and presentations man has ever witnessed. But if you can’t organize your thoughts or tools to do your job, what does it matter?

That’s why we endlessly strive to do the best for our customers. Because giving less than 100% is failure. And failure is not an option.

What do you call the guy that finishes last in med school?

Doctor.

Watch this video for a great example on giving it your all 100% of the time. It’s why an “A” is not enough.

Thanks Patty. It put it into terms that almost everyone can understand. It is so simple, yet so profound. Profoundly simple!
