I used my signal

I wonder who the guy was that invented the turn signal.

A quick internet search says it was a man who had no left arm to hang out the window. Ingenuity? Perhaps.

It is widely believed that Oscar J. Simler invented and patented the turn signal in 1929.  I’m sure a lot of people still don’t know they exist on their vehicles, but I digress.

I was on the way home late Saturday night from a training meeting, driving on a long stretch of road all alone. Approaching a turn, I instinctively flipped the lever turning the signal on. Being the lone car in sight, who was I signaling?
