Keep it clean

Clean. Serene. Pristine.

Clean. Serene. Pristine.

Notice how clean it is? To the casual observer it might not stand out.

But if leaves were littering the pathway or a trash can was overflowing, we’d notice it in a heartbeat.

How “clean” is your operation? Your customers may notice when things are out-of-place before you do.

David, you know what’s really cool? How small business owners can do the same things. Donna Flanagin has taken Disney principals and applied then throughout her operation.

David, I just blogged about “the leaves” last week. So true. Very difficult to keep up on a limited budget I must admit. Jeff, always striving. Had a customer post this last week. https://twitter.com/cathieindiana/status/380782232316551168. Was it something We did or was it how we made her feel?

It’s something I’ve been trying to do for about 4 years now. What took so long? I didn’t have the passion before then. And change wouldn’t happen overnight.

Whenever I am in one of my stores and a customer gives us a compliment I try to ask the associate what did they do to get this response from the customer. Was it something you did? Something you said? Maybe you just listened to their complaint and by doing so, you relieved their burden. Sometimes it’s the big things that get noticed. Other times it’s stringing a lot of little things together that get big results.
