Call it

No leader is immune.

No manager is exempt.

No front line employee is protected.

“Things” don’t always go your way. And as a result, the challenges you face at different levels have the same cumulative effect. Change is inevitable and guaranteed. And it’s not easy.

Call it depression. Call it anxiety. Call it hopelessness. And it’s happening to someone you love.

They sit next to you at work. They sit by you on the pew. They sit across from you at the dinner table.

Wherever they sit, wherever they serve, wherever you see them, it follows them. It hangs over them like a dark cloud on the sunniest of days.

They are looking for an ear. They are looking for a shoulder. They are looking for a hug.

They are looking for help. Call it. Be the help. Be the leader at any level.

    David, sending (((hugs))) your way.

Great thought David! I have felt at times especially more recently that I’m not being the leader I should be at home. In reality my wife could use more hugs and me spending more time with her. 🙂 Thank you for the reminder.

    David, Are you okay?
