Some people asked if we were keeping the kids up to date on the details of my struggle battle journey with cancer.
It wasn’t something that was easy to hide.
They were watching anyway. And the picture above is what my 8-year-old daughter brought me this morning. The words inside were especially meaningful.
“Dear Dad,
I am very thankful for you. I hope you feel better. I want you to have a happy Thanksgiving. Happy Thanksgiving Dad!”
While it may be scary that they’re watching, I’m thankful that at least they can see.

So special and heartfelt. The card is one of those keepers for life.
Priceless.
Happy Thanksgiving.
Knock, knock…anybody home?
Yes. Home. Recovering. Getting my mind cleared. Another hurdle to get over tomorrow (Wednesday) and I should be getting closer to normal. Although I may have to redefine what normal is. 🙂
