Stalking vs. Involved

Wanna go for a dive?

Wanna go for a dive?

What kind of style represents the way you lead?

Do you stand on the sidelines remaining clean and pristine?

Or are you getting dirty in the trenches?

I’m thankful for a leadership team that gets in the trenches with me and shows how it’s done.

Not that leadership is all fun but I find getting into the trenches makes the job a whole lot more interesting. And it builds a sense of team.

I can tell my team what to do. Or I can show them. When training a new team member I teach them how to count a cash drawer. I show them how I do it but give them the flexibility to develop their own method. They may learn something new by watching me do it. More likely than not, I end up learning something new from them. 🙂
