And the survey says . . . ?
Went shopping briefly the other afternoon at a major retailer. The sales associate walked me to a different register than would normally be used. After struggling with the debit pin pad for about 8-10 attempts, we finally got it to work and I was able to leave.
Before I walked away, the associate printed my receipt and a follow up receipt with a link to an online survey. She circled the web address, store number, and wrote a 10 on the paper. She asked that I award her a 10 for the level of service I received.
Excuse me? The survey will ask me a question regarding my shopping experience and I will provide my feedback. And it probably won’t be a 10. Otherwise, why try to solicit MY opinion?
Sales associates, managers, cast members – do not deliver a 10 level of service. Deliver a 15 and you’ll be rewarded with a 10 every time. And you won’t have to beg for it.

Great post. Beg for strength, yes, but never for a 10. 🙂
If you have to beg for a 10, then you’re not offering that level of service. Thank you sir!
When the service is excellent then no one has to offer a prompt for the answer. The answer is obvious.
Obvious to some. To those who don’t know what a 10 is, the answer will never be obvious. Thank you Patty for stopping by!
