Thanks to a life long friend for the reminder that in order to achieve success, you’ve got to start the journey.
How can I (insert anything here)? You take the first step. What does the first step look like?
It can be going back to school to further your education in a new subject area.
It can be heading over to your local community bank to apply for a small business loan.
It can be writing a blog.
The important thing is to start.

Great post. Hope it inspires you to keep moving forward.
Had to smile after brainstorming another example for your “first step” list:
Start a small business that you don’t expect to make any money until the fifth year, and do it while you already have a great job you love.
Peace and blessings immeasurable. 🙂
Thanks Jeff. I thought of you as I was writing. How many of us would have the patience or determination to wait for five years? I just read an article about a business in Florida that shut its doors after being in business for 3 years because they couldn’t make it. Sad that it takes that long for some.
Blessings on you and your family. 🙂
My biggest successes came by starting something, then failing, starting again, and again, taking a breather, then starting something else. The big picture is always in mind. The things I’ve learned from not starting something is regret.
I love your blogs, David. Thank you for your time and dedication in its creation. They are such a nice diversion to correcting atrocious middle school papers.
Beth, thank you for being an inspiration to me. I write what I feel and experience. But rarely am I my own inspiration.
Thank you for educating those middle schoolers. 🙂
