“Everyone needs deadlines. Even the beavers. They loaf around all summer, but when they are faced with the winter deadline, they work like fury. If we didn’t have deadlines, we’d stagnate.” Walt Disney
Faced with a deadline at work? school? home?
Is this when you do some of your best work? Why?
Treat each day and each task with the same sense of urgency.
The car pictured above didn’t form overnight. The flowers didn’t bloom in a day. Careful planning and organization led to the final product.

Deadlines?
What about the one for which the name was inspired?
Dead line.
The day we pass from life to death.
Now there’s the most important one of all.
Trouble is, we have no idea when it is, so we live like it’ll never happen.
My deadline is June 8, 2019.
And also knowing full well it could be today or tomorrow.
June 8? Interested to hear what that day means.
If we knew our final day, we would act differently.
The comment just inspired a blog post. Not sure if you’re aware of this blog: http://www.jeffnoel60.com/2011/05/10/david-balentine-presents-a-great-thought/
PS. Carpe diem! 🙂
WOW! I didn’t originate the thought. Just passing it along! Thanks for spreading the word! 🙂
June 8, 2019, I turn 60.
No male on my Dad’s side has made it past 60.
Not saying that’s the end date, because tomorrow isn’t guaranteed.
It’s simply a way to say that whatever I want to accomplish in life, I’m gonna do it in ten years. Period. Two of them are over. So now 8 years left. Having a dead-line makes decision making so much easier.
David, it’s transformational.
There is no putting off, only pressing on.
And so, what’s holding you back from living more in the moment and pressing harder each day?
Is it the false belief that we can get to the important things at our convenience?
Personally, that belief is a death trap..
Holy cow Batman, this is like the longest blog comment ever written by jungle jeff.
That will be a day to celebrate. Need help organizing a party? I know a great group that can help with Meetings and Celebrations!
