We have all heard the adage “early bird gets the worm.”
Here’s a good question for you. Do you know what time it is? Are you in tune with your to-do list so much that if the sun shines on your day and you’re not up you’re already behind?
That was a long sentence. Let me rephrase it the way a good friend does.

Yes. It’s a blessing and a curse. The to do list is very long.
Sometimes I just have trouble locating the list. 🙂
For too many years my life revolved around that old to-do list and rising early and going to bed late (totally exhausted) just to complete what I “thought” needed to be accomplished each day, and I finally realized that I missed out on the important small stuff with my family.
Now, I’m trying to live by a new one – “The second mouse gets the cheese!”
For those of us who aren’t as orgainzed, the to-do list is a must-do. Although it doesn’t get done as often as it should, it does give me a sense of accomplishment when I can see the completed tasks written down. The list doesn’t have to be full of 20 things to do in an 8-hour workday. It could simply be one item . . . be awesome!
