Reach for it

It will grow. And so can you.

It will grow. And so can you.

You’re not good enough. You’re not living up to your potential. You’ll never amount to anything. . . said no motivational speaker ever.

Do you realize the motivational power you possess? No, really. Think about it.

Take a look at your own life. Where have you been? Where are you now? Where are you headed?

The events of your life are part of a journey. Be a sponge and soak them all in.

“Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the things you did do. So throw off the bowlines, sail away from the safe harbor. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.” Mark Twain

Learning from others

Don't look directly into the sunlight.

Don’t look directly into the sunlight.

Life is full of choices.

Life is full of mistakes.

Only some of us learn from other people’s mistakes. The rest of us have to be the other people.

Day 1

Don't feel buried by your burdens.

Don’t feel buried by your burdens.

Happy New Year!

Today is day 1 of a new book . . . your journey into 2013. What are you willing to accept today as the right step toward making your dreams come true? Is it different from what you did yesterday?

Insanity: doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. Albert Einstein

Choose not to be insane this year.

Who’s going to turn on the light?

The sun is coming up and will shine its light into the darkness.

The sun is coming up and will shine its light into the darkness.

Rats fleeing a sinking ship.

Cockroaches hiding as the light is flipped on.

The same thing happens to evil when you expose it to light. It scatters, looking for a dark retreat in order to hide.

Sin grows in the dark but Christians are called to live in the light.

Jeremiah 23:24 (NIV) – “Can anyone hide in the secret places so that I cannot see him?” declares the Lord. “Do I not fill heaven and earth?” declares the Lord.”

As my Facebook status said,

All Satan wants is a little crack. Once you give in and allow him through the tiniest opening, he’s succeeded.

Call evil what it is. Expose it to light and it tries to hide like rats scurrying when the switch is turned on.

Stand up for the truth. Always do what is right.

James 1:27 (NIV)
“Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.”

Friends, you probably don’t need to look far to find a widow or an orphan to help. Reach out to them especially tomorrow. Don’t just give from your abundance. Give from your heart.”

Merry Christmas to all!

The IAATC 500

There is a place of quiet rest.

There is a place of quiet rest.

Not a race. Just another milestone.

This is post #500 at It’s All About The Customer. I choose to celebrate this day by saying thank you to all who have read, commented on and shared my little corner of the internet.

December 23 is also the day my father passed away in 1977. Dad, it’s been an amazing 35 years. A lot has happened that we were not able to share with you. And yet I still hear people I meet now say I remind them of you. Even though your body is gone, your spirit lives on. Your teachings remain and are now echoed as I hear others say of my son, he reminds them of his dad.

There is your legacy dad. Whether it was your plan or not, it’s alive and going strong. It’s also the inspiration that pushes me to seek those who knew you. To hear their stories and watch them smile, I’ve never met a person that had something negative to say against you.

May I live my life so the same can be said of me.

UPDATE (10/12/16) – I have turned off comments for this post. For some reason, I get more spam comments in the cue for this post than for any on my entire blog.
