Occasionally, I depart from the norm of talking about customer service when something profound strikes me.
Today is one of those days.
Once a month, we sing at a local nursing home/rehabilitation center. One of the residents is Carmen. Carmen told us a story about an accident she had as a child. She cries almost every day.
Now she’s looking forward to the day when she won’t cry anymore.
Me too, Carmen. Me too. 🙂

David, nice post. Humbling. Saw Jeremy Camp in concert Friday night. His tour is called “We Cry Out”, and his songs speak to waiting for the day to come when there are no more tears.
Keep being awesome and I really enjoy your daily posts. Okay, I better get going. Disney World is calling my name.
It’s calling my name too. Since I live more than 5 minutes away, I have to plan my trips carefully. One more week!!
How wonderful are your gifts of song and friendship. Extended with love to one (and many) of life’s dear customers. You are a blessing to all those you encounter.
Enjoy Disney World!
Thank you for the kind words Patty. Although I will say those I encounter are a blessing to me and not the other way around. I have learned a lot from the residents. They have taught me to be more thankful for the measure of health I have, even though it isn’t perfect.
If I must enjoy WDW Patty, then I will. 🙂
As I learn from my clients.
