Wrong priorities

There is an order to things.

“Wrong priorities sink good intentions every time.” Tim Smelser (Stole this from my preacher Tim.)

Our good intentions do not equal compliance. Or obedience.

Reminds me of another quote.

“Well done is better than well said.” Benjamin Franklin

It’s here

It can be done. It has to be done.

A new blog. A new goal. A new lease on life.

We are not granted passage to tomorrow.

Please go to my new blog here. It’s not a replacement. I’m going nowhere. There’s too much at stake to give up now.

Have an awesome Sunday!

Something new is coming

All of me. All 241 pounds.

Just around the corner. Like 4 days away.

A big reveal. A reminder of where I am and where I want to be.

A goal that almost seems impossible will be attained. Or else.

I was running the other day after getting a new pair of shoes. More like a walk run event. I was listening to some tunes and the song “As Time Goes By” came on.

A case of do or die . . . It’s now or never. . . All or nothing . . . .

The time for change is now. It’s already started. I’m not waiting until 50 for my midlife. I want to be celebrating, not mired in crisis.

Stay tuned . . .

A picture of success

Learning from the best has no age restrictions.

At a recent staff meeting we had the opportunity to hear “how they do it” from one of our team members. The top salesman in one category was invited to share with us his techniques that have propelled him to the top.

This 24-year-old sounded like a seasoned veteran and actually put some of us seasoned veterans to shame. His delivery was effortless (and without notes BTW). His message was clear.

A few of his points:

  • Sell yourself first
  • Make every customer feel comfortable
  • Know your demographic
  • Don’t be afraid of “NO”

Sound familiar? He talked about nothing new. But we still listened and learned a lot about engaging and interacting with the customer

Success can come in many forms. You just have to listen for it.

Put it out there for everyone to see

How will they know if you don’t tell them?

And stand behind it.

What kind of promises do you make to your customers?

If you don’t put it on the wall, will they know by your actions?

Have a great Saturday!

PS. 1.18 mile run this morning in the new shoes. Determination wins over new shoes. But the shoes do help. 🙂
