Take it down a notch

Know your customers. Approach them right.

Assuming the posture of your customer can be a big step in helping them feel comfortable to approach you.

Taking on their tone of voice when they come in with a quiet question can make them feel at ease with your equally quiet response.

Become belligerent like the angry customer in front of you and you’re asking for trouble.

Just take it down a notch.

And it grew

Never too late to start growing.

Pictures are an easy way to measure growth.

Focus, care and attention can help you grow too.

So what’s stopping you from taking the first step? It’s NEVER too late to start, unless you’re dead. Then you wouldn’t be reading this, would you?

Relax – Just say no

Please don't add any more. I'm burning up already.

Deadlines. Special requests. Account payables. Favors.

It can be overwhelming at times.

And you still have customers to take care of.

You do know it’s okay to say no, right? Prioritizing requests and organizing your regular duties may mean you have to turn down special requests from the outside.

Don’t get me wrong. If your boss has a special request, it would be in your best interest to  get it done.

But if you’re overwhelmed, it would also be wise to let your boss know your situation.

Open communication is a stronger attribute than taking on too much work and completing none of it.

The goal of all goals

Do fireworks go off when you reach your goal?

In setting goals, what would you do if you had the opportunity to set the goal of a lifetime? You only have one shot at getting it right.

What do you think it should be? Should it be a goal related to your business, your family or yourself?

Yes, there is a personal reason why I’m asking these questions. But before I reveal the case and the goal I would like to hear from you, the reader.

What is/was your biggest goal so far in life? Was it a decision based on moving to a new city and accepting a job? Was it deciding whom to marry? Was it more personal like deciding to quit drinking or smoking? Or weight loss?

Whatever the goal or decision, I would be grateful if you would share your goals/dreams/life altering decisions here on my blog.

The courage and inspiration you’ll show here will help others who are at a crossroad and need to know which direction to turn.

Ready? Go!

What do you do with a 9-pound lemon?

This will change conventional thinking.

You make a whole bunch of lemonade.

When situations arise, when life throws you a curve, when you don’t get your way . . . it might be time to re-evaluate your goals. Maybe your goal was too low. Maybe it is set in a different direction than you or your business is traveling.

You did have a goal set, didn’t you?

If there are no goals set (presuming you have multiple goals for the multiple facets of your life) then where are you headed and how will you know when you get there?
