A month of Innovation – Day 28

For most of May, I have brought you quotes from one of the world’s most recognized names, Walter Elias Disney.

Today is going to be different.

Last evening, I had the privilege of attending the graduation ceremonies of a local Christian school. We were given a program of the events of the evening as we entered. Several points were highlighted during the evening, including:

  • 100% of the graduates were college bound
  • The word “character” was used multiple times. In fact, it was used so many times I lost count.
  • The program listed each student’s mission statement.

Yep. A mission statement. Didn’t see that coming. What a great legacy honoring the hopes, dreams and goals of each student without being jaded by the cynicism and skepticism of life’s experiences. It was a great reminder to the adults just how precious a child’s innocence can be.

Congratulations Molly!

Mission statements are a dime a dozen. I’ll take a nickel’s worth please.
WOW! They all have mission statements?
Would love to hear some (or even one)….
