They even had a flower

They even had a flower

They even had a flower . . .

There are some companies who get it when it comes to customer service. And by get it, I mean they include the little things that most other companies choose to ignore.

Flowers on tables in restaurants are nothing new. Fresh flowers are usually reserved for more upscale establishments.

Not only did this fast-food restaurant have fresh flowers on the table, they also had them in the restroom.

Flower in the bathroom

. . . in the bathroom

And it was real. And it made me smile. And it made me realize that they go above and beyond what is expected.

It had no bearing on the taste of the food. It had no influence on the cost of the food.

If that’s the case, then why am I writing about it here?

Because no matter where you are or what you do, it’s all about the customer.

Thank you, Chick-fil-a.

  1. Something I’ve learned on eBay is I typically list an item with standard shipping (2-9 business day) to give me enough time in case something is going on in my life. But I usually send it out Priority so they get it earlier than expected.

I guess it’s about over delivering that makes a big difference and keeps your customers coming back to you.

      Charlie,

Do you eat the extra shipping costs or is that built in to what you charge?

It’s getting to the point now where we have to come up with more creative ways to top how we’ve gone above and beyond for our customers. We’ve got to go above and beyond for everybody. That’s a start.

Once you “get it”, it is so much fun noticing who else “gets it”. Just like you said it made you smile. How many people didn’t even notice and missed out on a good smile? Keep up the good work.

Thanks Donna. It is cool to see when companies get it. Especially when it is genuine. I’m confident there are people saying that about you and your business too.
